Caramel Chicken

This is an original recipe
invented by Minh Boyle, whose cooking is influenced by Vietnamese and French
cuisines. It is a delicious meal and is a highly requested dish by both
family and friends.
Ingredients

2 C of boneless, skinless
chicken breast, cut up into ¼” slices |

3 T soy sauce |
 |
1 T water |
 |
4 T unsalted butter |
 |
6 T garlic powder |
 |
4 tsp. light brown sugar |
Directions
- Mix brown sugar and water in a frying pan on high heat. Cook until
mixture is caramelized, but not burned.
- Reduce heat to medium, add butter and garlic powder, and stir
- Add chicken and stir until thoroughly cooked
- Serve with rice
